Ok, I know I haven't posted in a while, but hey. Whatever. So, still no car yet. I did find one and of course, like all the others, I am really hoping that it works. A 92 Jetta...lots of new stuff too, like a new clutch, tranny, and brakes. And soon to have a new starter cause apparently it just died. So I will know within the next week or so if it will work. Now all I need is to quickly befriend a mechanic who won't charge anything to look at a car.
Work is so much fun you have no idea. I loooove being a receptionist. Maybe if I repeat that enough, it will come true. eh, it's money for a car.
So I just went down to Arizona. Ian bought 40 acres down there and we went camping down there to check it out. Ok, so it was high class camping to what we are used to. I got a 10x10 tent to myself and Ian slept on a futon under the stars, but mom slept in "the condo" (BTW, Ian's neighbors were down there too, which is who were were camping with. More on them later). "The condo" just happens to be a 1979 Ford Econoline van with a mattress in the back. But hey, mom was not complaining about getting a mattress. :) So these neighbors of his. Tory and Debrajust moved there from Las Vegas. Right now they are living in a 17 ft fifth wheel with their 3 dogs. No running water, electricity, or indoor plumbing. They just came down here and are basically camping until they get anything started for their house. Very nice people though. And their dogs are so cute. :) The biggest Golden I have ever seen in my life; Lazarus. His head almost came up to my hips. massive! But very sweet. They also have a pure German Shepherd, Kirby, who is scared of the dark-dog after my own heart-and Copper a Aussie Shepherd, but he is the white and well, copper colored version, so both of his eyes are light blus. Very cool. He likes to jump at your face and lick you do death, very affectionate, but if you like the skin on your face it can get to be a little much. ;)
The land is beautiful, talk about the middle of nowhere. The closest town is St. John's about the size of a quarter and 10 miles away. It is up at 6000 feet, so it gets hot, but not as hot as other AZ cities. And there are Juniper "trees" about 6 or 7 feet high. They are like big bushy tree things, couln't make up there mind whether to be a bush or a tree. Overall, a beautiful place and so many stars!!! You can literally see 180 degrees of stars and the nearest small town being 10 miles away, let's just say there isn't much light pollution. :) You can clearly see the Milky Way every night. And I can't say the sunsets are too shabby either.
Other than that, just work so far. woohoo.
