A real post!
Time for a real update. Here it goes.
First, let me just say that it feels really strange to be done with school. No more packing in August to go live in a dorm, no more registering for classes and trying to find cheap textbooks. Very weird feeling. Anyway, now I am off in the 'real world' looking for a 'real job', which can be quite the daunting experience. I finally got a part time position though. Working at a Children's Center for kids from 15 months to 5 years. I will start working with the littlest ones (15 months to 2 1/2ish) and then on a moth or so I will most likely move up to the 'older kids' (older meaning 4 and year olds). The director seems very motivated to help get me as many hours as she can, which is awesome. The other teachers there are great too. And one of the best parts is that it is literally 1 mile down the street I live on. So I can easily ride mu bike to work! I start in 2 weeks and I am excited. In the mean time, I found a part time thing at a textbook annex, helping with stocking and the registers during the first rush of the school year.
I am glad that this job seemed to work out so far. I feel like my life is starting to come together. I was really getting tired of searching for temporary jobs, applying anywhere I could find. I know a lot of people have temp or part time jobs for a while after college, but I really want a meaningful job; something that I liked (at least a little) or something that was near to what I wanted to do. And it looks like I might have found it and that makes me very happy. So here's to hoping. :)
Next week is Mike and my 4 year anniversary. I can't believe that 4 years have already gone by! It's pretty awesome though. :)
Uhm...wow, I can't think of anything else that I have to say. So, I guess this is it. :) Maybe more will come to me later.
