Well, I have been in RA training since the 18th of Aug. and all the freshmen come tomorrow. Almost done with training though, and then classes will start, yay.
I am living on the UP (Upper Parade Ground for those who may not be familiar with Norwich lingo) this year and during the loverly rook week, they use, not the small cannon, but the pack howitzer to wake up the Rooks. Holy crap. That thing is freakin loud anyway, but it scares the crap out of you when it is at 530am. And the marching and chanting of the cadets and rooks is interesting. Kinda neat at the same time too though. I wasn't around this nearly as much as last year, and it is nea to be able to watch everything they do now.
I brought my record player this year and just found a great record store in Montpelier! Yay! I think I am going to be going there a lot thins year. *evil grin* hope I have a lot of boxes for records to go home in. :)
Hung out with Amy #2 and John on my bday, that is when I discovered the record place. Ended up buying 5 that night, hehe. 2 Cat Stevens, 2 Elton John, and one titled "James Bond-13 original Themes" Isn't it great?! wooo!
Mike comes up here tomorrow and I can't wait. I have had waaay too much waiting to do this summer.
I need to decorate my room some more. It is kinda plain still. More pictures needed. :) I think I will be doing that before I head to dinner! :D

Well, I'm back

Here I am at Norwich. I know it has been a while, but I am still alive. I left on the 11th with Melanna and we went to the Denver train station. Our train was supposed to leave at 740 pm, but just like good 'ol Amtrak always is, we finally left around 1215. We got closer to Chicago (where we had to change trains) and were getting a little worried cause we were 5 hours late and were supposed to have a 4 hour layover. But, again, good 'ol Amtrak, we ended sitting in Chicago for 2 more hours. So after leaving Denver 5 hours late, we got into Albany only 2 hours late. We got to Lake George that evening and spent a great week with Mike and Jeff and Mom and Mels.

Drove up here tuesday, moved in and started training today. My alarm did not go off this morning, so I was late to the first session of training...what a great start. The rest of the staff is great, really nice people. Hopefully things will get better tomorrow.

My motivation for typing is not much right now and I actually have to run, but maybe more later.
