Poor Jip...

Mom had to put Jip down yesterday. Mom said se couldn't walk, or even sit up on her own anymore. She hadn't moved from the same spot between 9am and 3pm. Mom had to carry her outside to go to the bathroom...It was time for her to go. It doesn't make it any easier, but I am doing much better than yesterday. I am still sad, but I know that she is happier now. I think it is going to hit me when I get home, but for now I am ok.

Apparently Buckshot(my cat) is acting really wierd now that Jip is gone. I guess he was wandering around and meowing wierd and barely ate anything and was under the table when he usually is on mom's lap. I think he is really sad cause he and Jip were together all the time and now she is gone. The poor guy. Hopefully he will be ok in a week or so.

Good news or bad news?

Good news? I get to go home soon!!!! This semester has been pretty good, but I cannot wait to go home. I have not been home since August and I really miss everyone. This week is the end of classes and then finals start. woo. yay finals. I will be really happy when all my papers and projects and tests are over and done with.

I can't wait to all all my friends again, Melanna and Steppi, and Londyn, def have to hang out with you guys a lot.

Bad news? Jip may not live until I get home. I talked to mom and apparently she is getting a lot worse. She can't walk on the time floors cause her back legs are too weak, she isn't eating and is throwing up and having diahrea. Poor thing. I really miss her and I am hoping she will make it for 2 more weeks. We may have to put her down and mom said I probably would not want to be around, but I would rather be there than have it all happen while I was way out here in Vermont. She has lived a long and happy life, she will be 16 in January, but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with. We got her two years after we moved to Colorado 14 years ago. I can't remember when she wasn't around. I just hope I can see her one last time.

In other news, we actually got snow! It has been a very mild winter so far, a bunch of rain, a few flurries, but we actually got some accumulation this week. Just about an inch or so and then it sleeted and rained some more so now the snow is really wet. Kinda yucky, but it was warm today, which is nice. Nothing like last winter...yet. I am knocking on wood *knocks on head* that this winter will remian mild and pretty nice.

Oh, and I HAVE to get a car now. My education classes are requiring me to go to schools and observe or help teach and I can't get there. So over xmas break I am going to financialize(find out what I can afford) and maybe start looking. I may try to find one out here in VT or NH and just drive it home for the summer. Hopefully I will have more luck than I did last summer. Ah, that reminds me! I have to start looking for a summer job too! So much stuff to do! I actually want a job that is fun and works with kids, so I am going to look into daycares and stuff. I do NOT want another job with the county. The people are great and they pay well, no denying that, but the jobs themselves that I get are less than thrilling. In fact, some of them are mind-numbing.

I think that is about it for now....maybe I will ramble more later on, we'll see. Peace out.

There is nothing like good food, movies, and sleep to make a vacation great

I guess it has been a while. Well, I went home with Mike for Thanksgiving. We stayed at his mom's rental place and it was so nice cause I got to relax and catch up on sleep and I watched so many movies! The first 3 days of break, neither Mike not I had a car to use so we stayed at home and slept and ate and watched movies. It was great. I think I really slept the majority of the day all three of those days. :D We went to Concord to get presents for his mom cause her birthday was on Tuesday. That night I made her shrimp scampi for dinner, it was good. ANd she liked it which was good. :) Thursday just the three of us had dinner, the food was soo good! I was so full. On Friday the three of us went down to their new land where they are building a new house. It is beautiful land! Lots of trees and rocks, and from the building site you can't see any other houses. It is going to be an amazing spot for a site. Saturday we went to Satya's house with Jeff and Brian and Emily. Satya made us food and then we just hung out, played WAY too much air hockey, and played a few board games. It was fun. We left early though cause we had to get up early the next morning. We got up at 530-6am and left by 730 for Vermont where Mike's grandparents live. It was qute the adventure getting there, they live way in the middle of nowhere and it was really windy. We ended up having to move two trees out of the road in order to get through the road. It was crazy. But we got there and I met Mike's whole family and we had another whole, huge thanksgiving dinner. It was amazing. And Mike's family is really nice, I like them all. :) His little cousin is adorable too. I wanted to take her with me but I figured it may not go over well. hehe. Well, I am in class and should probably do some work here....Hopefully I can write more soon!
