VT weather is poopy. But not always.

So there I was, crazy excited to see OK Go in concert...finally! Mike and I left to drive up to Burlington. Norwich is at exit 5. The exit we needed is exit 14. Only 9 exits right? Well, for those of you who don't know I-89, the distance is about 50 miles. The exits are kinda far apart. So as we drive, it starts to snow....bad. By exit 11, the visibility was so low and there was so much snow that we turned around. I was really bummed. Not mad really, just really sad. I have been wating to see OK Go forever in concert and it was finally going to happen. Mike and I rented Brothers Grimm though and that was good, until I spilled my hot cocoa down my front. Don't ask me how I did it, it was a rough night. My feminine hormones at the times really helped everything too. haha.

So, no OK Go, but I am determined to see them sometime.

The weather was better yesterday though. It was so warm that Mike and I went for a run and I was in a sleeveless tanktop! Sunny and warm in VT in January? Something was seriously wrong...lol, but I wasn't complaining. :P

Mike, Karthik, Krenar, Ed, Kyle, Zach, and I all got together and made dinner last night. It was awesome and really yummy. Yesterday was a great day. :)

New Years Resolutions

Yes, I know they are late. I usually don't sit down at the beginning of each year and write down resolutions. I always feel that they can be pointless and are forgotten within a month. This year, however, I felt like writting some resolutions that are realistic and that I will honestly try to follow. So here they are:

1. Keep running with Mike. (We started running 3 miles) My ultimate goal is to be able to do an entire run and keep up with him the whole time. Now he is ahead of me the whole time unless he slows down.

2. Stay more focused on school and reduce last minute homeworking. I know this may sound like it can easily be pushed aside, but I really want to try yo keep this one. It is too easy for me to mess up my priorities.

3. Complain less. I feel that I do a lot of pointless complaining. I don't really have that much to complain about. So I am going to cut out all the stupid complaints.

4. Work harder. In everything. This is pretty self explanitory.

5. Improve financial organization and smarter spending. I am going to be working more this semster I hope and I need to learn how to manage my money better. Save more, only buy what I *need* not *want*.

Just those 5. I feel adding too many will make it less realistic for me. So I am about to seal an envelope with these written down and I will open it next year and see how well I did. :)

Class-ay :)

Here is a quick run-down of what my classes look like this semester:

EN202 (World Lit)--Same prof as last semester, she grades kinda tough, but he class is pretty good. Starting with Shakespeare and moving on up to contemporary stuff.

CM335 (TV Criticism)--This class is going to be a lot more interesting than I originally thought. We watch a lot of TV, which will be fun, but the professor is also doing a lot of lecture about what a critic is and what they do and how to become a critic. Neat stuff.

ED232 (Curriculum and Methods)--This is going to be an awesome class. There are only 2 of us, Erika and I, in the class and we are going to be at Barre Town for the whole class and learning about other parts of the school that we want to see. It is going to be really hands-on and I am working with a first grade class. :)

PY398 (Thesis Prep)--Ironically, this is where we start preparing for out senior thesis. We just talked about what ideas we had so far and prof Hamilton liked my idea and thought it would be good. So far I want to do an attitude study between here (Norwich) and Castleton State College and see if people's attitudes and then actions towards homosexuality differs. If someone says they have no problem with it, for example, but then around other people, treats them differently. Not sure how I am going to set it up yet, but I think it will be neat.

PY298 (Preface to Psych IV)--This is a kind of writing class. We will be learning how to put critical thinking down on paper. I think it will be good, not too big of a class and the prof is awesome. :)

PY198 (Preface to Psych II)--Yes I am taking PY198, 298, and 398 at the same time. This is a stupid class about writing html and making a website. It will be dumb and a waste of time. Oh well, it is only once a week.

So, those are my classes, I think it should be a good semester. Now all I need is a job. *sigh*

back to work....

Christmas was good, I got to spend a lot of time with Melsie while she was home and that was good. I needed a good Melsie fix. :) It was a good break, got to hang out with friends, went up to Boulder with Steppie and got my cartiladge in my ear pierced. owey. New years was good, I was in boulder. Rode in a cop car, hehe. No, I didn't get arrested.

Unfortunately I don't really feel like typing so you are going to get the uber-condensed-and-not-very-interesting-sounding version of my break.

I spent the last week with Mikey at his house and that was fun.

Now I am back at Norwich and classes start tomorrow. I think they should be good. I hope so anyway.

That about sums it up and uses up my motivation for now. Tootles.
