Summer Time!

Well, school is over. I am now a college senior. ah! The end of classes and finals went really well. All of my finals were take home, which may sound nice, but that means that they were all pretty challenging. My education final was an interdisciplinary unit (8 lesson plans) based on a social studies topic. We asked the teacher we had been working with for ideas that they might use in their classrooms, and my teacher gave me the topic of Vermont animals and their tracks. It was a fun unit to do, but it was really hard. We also presented our units to the teachers. My other hardest final wasn't really a final, but it was hard. For Thesis Prep, we had been working on our thesis and figuring out what we were going to do and for our final, we had to write and turn in our Human Subjects Proposal. The Human Subjects Committee looks at all of the thesis projects and just makes sure that they are ethical and are not harmful to the participants in any way. In order to prepare the proposal, we had to have all of the materials for our procedure. It was tough, but now it is done and I don't have to look at it again until the fall. :) Other than that, I had a few other take home papers and such, nothing too bad.
Our grades were posted, too and I GOT A 4.0 THIS SEMESTER!!!!!!!!! I have always gotten at least one B and this semester I didn't and I got all A's. :D woot and a half, man. Woot and a half.

Graduation was this sunday, and Mike is no longer a college undergrad student. :) The ceremony was really nice (kinda long at 2 hours). Our good friend Karthik was the valedictorian and gave a great speech. I am really gonna miss all my friends that graduated. All the engineers that I hung out with, Amanda; they are all going to be gone next year. So sad. :(

And best of all.....on Friday we leave for Scotland! For 6 weeks! :) I can't wait! I will have limited access to the internet, so I am not sure how much I will be able to update this thing, but I will try. :)

Hope everyone's summers are peachy :)
