Close but no cigar.

Well, almost...I owned a car for 3 days...but then I had to take it back. After buying the car I had spent just about every penny I had. Then I found out it needs new brakes, adding another thousand on to it.So in the end it would have been much more than I had the money to pay. So I returned the car. The guy who sold it to me was going to try to see if there was anyway he could get the brakes fixed for me...but after calculating money last night, I realized I didn't have enough money to really pay for the car itself. So....no car, but later...I will get one maybe next year or something. Oh well.
And you know, I am actually feeling pretty good. I think deep down I knew the car was too much money, it just hit me in the face last night. And I feel much better knowing that I just saved myself from being in too deep and even though I came out without a car, I know that there was nothing I could do because I just need to earn some more money.
That was pretty much the whole weekend. Not much else happened.

Awww...shucks. Too bad you couldn't keep the car. I talked to my dad and he said depending on what the brakes needed done he could have worked on it for a whole lot less cheaper than $400. Well I guess you have a good base of money to start saving for a car next year and heck your RA stipend can go toward the fund too and probably by next summer you'l have a good wad of cash to buy your own car. :) *hug*
