0-0-7 baby!
It is so weird to think that is it 2007. It feels like just yesterday it was 2000. And to think that the younger generation (the primary school age, even high school age) will think that the 80's were sooo long ago! ha.
People are right. With every year that passes, it seems to take less time than all the years before. High school went fast, but I cannot even express how much faster college went. I really feel that it was just a little while ago when I moved out to VT for my freshman year, when it was almost 4 years ago. I have changed a lot since then. My goals have changed since then.
The Northeast feels more like home now. Colorado will always be 'home' and I will always be proud to be a Coloradan, but coming back to stay in New England feels normal, I feel comfortable here and I like it. I have a great family of friends and I feel very lucky. It makes starting my life out here exciting and not as frightening as it could be. :)
I will be starting my student teaching soon, next Monday in fact, in the first grade and I am very excited. I really like my mentor teacher and the kids are a good group this year. I know that this semester is going to go by even faster than the fall, but I am preparing myself for that and knowing that I am going to be having alot of fun makes it better. :)
I suppose I should be getting back to the Portfolio work that I was working on...I have to finish it before I start my student teaching.
Happy New Year Everyone!

I thought I had commented on this but maybe not. I know what you mean about feeling like the years go faster. It's craziness! I'm sorry I missed you during the blizzard, that screwed up a lot of plans lol. I hope you find home wherever you go and whatever you choose to do, but it's true, Colorado has that effect, it's hard not to be "Coloradan" when things like "the mountains are west" were the mantra for so many years. But anyway, I hope you have a great last semester!!!!!
